A Slow Boat From China

Long live the king. I've received the first copies of Kings Of The Road from the printers in China. The printers always send a few copies of the final book before they pack the cases onto the container and they begin the 3 week journey to LA/Long Beach harbor.
I'm very happy with this book. There were some minor color problems with the cover, but that's about it. The size, the weight and the paper stock are all exactly as I'd wanted. They should be here soon, so look for them in San Diego next month.

I am speechless at the moment. You have been one of my heros. I just wanted to post this saying that. If it wasn't for artists like you, Mucha, Marcos Chin, Martin French, and James Jean I don't think I would be the artist I am today!! I wanted to post on all of your posts but hey this one will do. Thanks for posting these beautiful pieces and keep it up and enjoy your time with Mo :-)

Congratulations on the book! As with bluebird I have learnt a lot form studying your pics and I really admire your work. It was really interesting to see the designs that didn't make it and then to see the finished book, it reminds me not to settle on the first idea.

I've been a big fan of yours since buying Chromaphile. It really inspired me to work towards getting a book of my own printed. In colour! Not just black and white stapled together....
I can't wait to see the Kings of the Road book, I hope to get it at the big convention in Toronto later this summer.
Now that I've looking through your art on your blog, I feel the need to sit and create something of my own.
Cheers!
